SnackMart is a family run company that produces the Frikandel, a skinless spiced beef/pork sausage originating from the Netherlands.
The frikandel is an unique product from the Netherlands. Having immigrated to Canada in 1999, there is one food we craved the most, the Frikandel. With an average of 40 frikandels eaten per person/year in the Netherlands, this skinless spiced beef/pork sausage is extremely popular. Having participated in tasting events throughout Manitoba, the positive reviews from our artisan frikandel have convinced us that there is a market for our product here in Manitoba.
We have a Provincial inspected commercial kitchen that we use as our production facility on our property in Beausejour, Manitoba. Our own commercial kitchen allows us to make the frikandel, keep control of the product quality, keep the production process confidential and make it more convenient to combine the processing of our meat snacks and our farming operation. Our commercial kitchen is built to federal inspected standards.
