Request Proposals (RFP) for External Auditor Services 

5 Year Contract 2024-2029 

Food & Beverage Manitoba (formerly the Manitoba Food Processors Association) is an industry-led, not-for-profit association that launched in 1993 to help Manitoba’s food and beverage industry achieve its full creative and competitive potential. From small startups to multi-national corporations, food and beverage producers, growers, processors, marketing boards, government agencies, retailers, packagers, and suppliers, the companies that make up our industry work tirelessly to meet shifting consumer demands and increasing competition. We are inviting qualified firms in good standing with CPA Manitoba to submit proposals for annual external audit services (2024-2029), in accordance with Food & Beverage Manitoba Financial Policy 8.2.1 – Audit Tendering.  

Scope of Work: 

•       Conduct an annual financial audit of Food & Beverage Manitoba in compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation for non-profit organizaitons in MB. 

•       Our typical financial year end includes minimal journal entries (3-10) and we hold no substantial capital assets at this time.  

•       Provide assurance on the accuracy and integrity of financial statements through an official Auditors Report to Membership at each Annual General Meeting. 

•       Offer recommendations for enhancing financial controls and processes where applicable. 

Selection Criteria: 

•       Quality of audit services and supports with previous non-profit auditing experience. 

•       Timeliness and efficiency of service delivery. 

•       Reasonableness of fees. 

•       Any other factors approved by the Finance Committee. 

Submission Requirements: 

Interested firms are requested to submit a comprehensive proposal addressing the scope of work and selection criteria outlined above. 

Submission Deadline: April 30, 2024 

Review Process: Proposals will be evaluated by Food & Beverage Manitoba Senior Management and the Finance Committee, with a recommendation to the Board for final approval.
